This is from a blog entry in October, when we were still on the road, and I wasn’t able to post it successfully to the web, so wanted to share it with you all here!

I can’t believe it has been almost 1 year since my first fundraising event at Kickstarter. It was a success, and from it, we were able to fund the finish of my 9th CD. ”Beautiful I Love you” was a labor of love and a joy to create with my high-strung guitar and inspiration from my budding musical duet with Dave Sampson as the center piece of this project, we are so happy to have finished it, and have a great reason to travel further than I ever have in 15 years of touring.
In nearly 15 years of touring, times have never been as tough and as rich all at the same time. I thought surely my life as a touring musician was over in the winter of 2008 with gas prices settling over 4 dollars a gallon, colleges and universities making severe cuts, especially to their entertainment budgets, and people with good jobs all of a sudden having the Floor drop out from under them, I thought music, especially live music would be the last thing on everybody’s list.
I am happy to say that I was wrong and since then I have been able to finish a new record with a help and support of my dedicated fans, friends, my Guitarist Dave, and the rest of my family.
Today we are in route 2 Michigan in order to play a house concert for 1 of our supporters from Kick Starter we are so excited to be on the trip and are equally excited to share our experiences with you all on our tour. We have already traveled 2000 miles so I will leave you with this photograph and we’ll get you all up to date, by posting many more highlights when we have time!
With Peace & Blessings, Jill
